Can you talk us through your approach to working with couples?

The journey with Holland Hospitality is carefully thought through:

  • Initial consultation: we begin with an initial consultation to discuss your vision, guest numbers, style and budget.

  • Menu proposal and tasting: we develop a proposal that includes menu ideas and couples are invited to a menu tasting to sample their chosen dishes.

  • Menu refinement: together we refine the menu based on personal tastes, dietary and cultural preferences. We will also cover timings service style and staffing at this stage.

  • Pre-wedding planning: closer to the date we liaise with with you to finalise numbers, timings make any changes and confirm logistics with the venue.

  • On the day: we offer full catering management to keep everything running smoothly and ensure our couples and their guests are well looked after.

How do you adapt menus to reflect each couples personalities or cultural traditions?

Through our consultations with clients we make sure to ask our couples about their values, favourite foods and any cultural or religious preferences we should take into consideration when suggesting dishes.

We also offer custom menu options and are flexible when it comes to altering dishes, adding special courses or changing service styles.

Our team of chefs are experienced at catering to a wide range of dietary requirements without compromising on flavour or presentation.

What is one dish that you’re known for, or that always gets guests talking?

It has to be our sharing menus or beef wellington! Both always go down well at weddings and get guests talking. We’ve also created a steak sharing menu for one of our clients and that was a huge hit.

What trends are you seeing in wedding catering at the moment?

We have seen a continued move towards couples placing an emphasis on sustainability and incorporating seasonal and local produce as much as possible.

We are also seeing the continuation of personalisation and fusion dishes to bring personal favourites into the menus and make the food more of a reflection of the couples story.

What is your favourite part of catering for weddings?

It’s all about seeing the vision come to life.

We love getting to know our couples and their families, taking ideas and transforming them into a menu and experience that is unique to our couples. Seeing the joy on guests faces and watching our couples enjoy the moment on their day all combine to make it such a rewarding industry to be part of.
