One of the things our team love most about The Granary Estates is that no two weddings here are ever the same. While the barns are rich with history, character and charm, they are also wonderfully versatile, a blank canvas ready for you to transform into your own vision of a perfect day.

Whether you dream of a classic white and green wedding, country garden inspired or something vibrant and bold, our barns and gardens can adapt to suit you. Here’s how you can make the most of our spaces to create a day that truly reflects your style.

Two beautiful barns, endless possibilities
The Granary Estates is comprised of two lovingly restored barns, connected by a stunning glass walkway overlooking the courtyard garden. Each space has it’s own character, and together they create a seamless flow for your day.
The Flint Barn is smaller in size and filled with natural charm. This space is perfect for intimate ceremonies of up to 88 guests. With its flint walls and beams, it sets a romantic backdrop for your vows. Later in the day, many couples chose to transform it into a cosy lounge area, complete with sofas from our Prop Shop and a tea and coffee station from their caterer, the perfect retreat for guests after the wedding breakfast.
The Granary Barn is larger in scale, hosting ceremonies and wedding breakfasts up to 175 guests. With high ceilings, soaring beams, and exposed brick The Granary Barn is where your evening celebrations come to life with plenty of space for dining and dancing. We have a range of lighting or draping options and some couples opt for hanging floral installations to make the most of the height.

Styling your space
One of the joys of a barn wedding venue is making it your own. We’ve seen couples style the barns in countless ways, from leaning into the rustic location to bringing a luxe modern style to life in the space, and everything in between.
A few ideas to consider:
Lighting magic: fairy lights are available in both barns and can transform the atmosphere from daytime romance to evening sparkle. Draping in the Granary Barn softens the space beautifully and creates an elegant frame for your decor.
Floral installations: make the most of the high beams with hanging flowers, a show-stopping way to bring your vision to life. Repurpose ceremony backdrop installations for the wedding breakfast.
Tablescapes: whether you choose round tables or long rustic. ones, your tableware and centrepieces will set the tone. Each of our caterers has a wide range of tableware options to choose from, and we can recommend additional local suppliers to ensure you coordinate your place settings with your theme perfectly.
Cosy corners: create a chill our area in the Flint Barn or walkway with sofas, rugs and soft lighting from our Prop Shop or add faux fur throws and blankets to our fire pit seating.
Make the most of the space
It’s not just the barns themselves that add character to your day. The outdoor and connecting spaces are equally as versatile and add another layer to your celebrations.
The courtyard garden is ideal for drinks receptions, lawn games and as night falls, the fire pit becomes a natural gathering spot with blankets, toasting marshmallows and late-night catch ups.
The glass walkway is more than a connection between the barns. We often have cocktail bars, lounge areas and photo booths in the space.

While the possibilities are endless, we know that this can sometimes feel a little overwhelming so we have pulled together a few practical tips to help.
Think about how you want the day to feel first and let this guide your decor and menu choices.
Use the barns’ features to your advantage. For example, highlight the beams with fairy lights, and the porch with statement florals.
Mix up the spaces throughout the day. The Flint barn can go from ceremony space to cosy coffee lounge, the walkway becomes an evening feature with the addition of a photobooth and the garden moves from lawn games to s’mores by the fire.
Don’t overlook the small details, they can have as much impact on your guests’ experience as the big styling decisions.
